"Stop Bullying" Tool Kit Ready Now

Forty-four states have laws against bullying and 31 states punishing "electronic harassment," but bullying remains a serious issue. Teen Health & Wellness remains a vital resource to middle and high school students, teachers, administrators, and parents for building safe and caring learning communities.

In time for the new school year, we've put together a "Stop Bullying" Tool Kit. Included are new "Stop Bullying" posters and bookmarks, a Bullying Prevention PowerPoint, and a flyer listing and linking bullying and cyberbullying legislation state-by-state.

Download these materials now from the Teacher/Librarian Resources section, and contact us if you'd like us to send you any posters or bookmarks. Be sure to note the quantity you'd like, the date needed, and the mailing address.

FREE Mobile App Now Available!

Teen Health & Wellness is available anytime, anywhere with our FREE mobile app, Teen Hotlines, now available in the iTunes store.

The Teen Hotlines mobile app lists hotlines, help lines, and Web sites organized by subject. From school violence and depression to eating disorders and suicide, these national organizations can also refer teens to state and local services in their community. We also have an Ontario-specific app available for our Canadian customers!

NEW Mobile App Poster: Connect teens with the mobile app with this new poster, also containing links to Teen Health & Wellness social media and a QR code.

Teen Health & Wellness is iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Netbook compatible.

New Student-Created Videos

We've been adding new PSAs throughout the summer, including these created by Deb Bendinelli's Special Education class at Redwood High School in Larkspur, California. Check out the videos on green transportation, conservation, depression and mood disorders, and homelessness.

Cherry Creek HS

Life Happens, Get Answers⎯Red Ribbon Week is America's oldest and largest drug prevention campaign, and Teen Health & Wellness is the right resource to support drug awareness and prevention. Colorado's Cherry Creek High School used Teen Health & Wellness last year in their Red Ribbon Week showcase. By displaying posters to catch students' attention and posting lists of the database's resources for easy access, Cherry Creek High was able to promote the database as a trustworthy resource that was tailored to student needs.

This year, Red Ribbon Week is October 22 - 30. Contact us for posters or bookmarks to display in your learning community.
